White wine glasses designed by Per Lütken for the Danish glassworks Holmegaard, belonging to the Atlantic series (also mentioned as 'Atlantis' in some sources) produced approximately between 1962 and 1975.
These glasses are characterized by a bowl tinted in smoky gray (labrador), combined with a stem and base of clear glass, creating a delicate chromatic contrast. Their form is slender and proportioned, adapted for a refined white wine experience, conveying the lightness and elegance characteristic of mid-century Scandinavian design.

Story
The Atlantic Series
The Atlantic series was introduced in the early 1960s and produced until the mid-1970s. Its name evokes both a maritime breeze and a sense of expansiveness, in part thanks to the tinted 'labrador' glass that suggests deep water. The white wine glasses are distinguished by their slender proportions and refined form, designed to enhance the experience of enjoying white wine. They are considered classic pieces of modern Danish design and are highly valued by collectors for their refined aesthetics and historic manufacture.
About the Designer: Per Lütken
Per Lütken (1916–1998) was one of the great masters of Danish glass. He worked at Holmegaard for decades and designed more than 3,000 pieces, combining a high technical level with a deeply balanced aesthetic sense. His approach was characterized by clear forms, soft lines, and a strict demand for technical quality in each piece, which earned him recognition as one of the most respected designers in Scandinavian glass.
About the Brand: Holmegaard
Holmegaard, founded in 1825, is a historic institution in Danish glass production. Under Lütken's influence, it experienced a period of great splendor: many of its most famous series (such as Atlantic) emerged during their collaboration, consolidating the brand as a reference point for functional and artisanal design.
These Atlantic white wine glasses are not simply drinkware—they are pieces of Danish glass history. The smoky labrador tone and clear stem create a sophisticated contrast that elevates the ritual of enjoying white wine. This is the kind of design that celebrates the golden age of Scandinavian glass and becomes a treasured part of any collection or table setting.
