An architectural stoneware vase by Gunnar Nylund for Rörstrand, characterised by a slender hourglass profile and a gently flared collar rim.
The vase is finished in a thick matte “Hares Fur” glaze, with delicate vertical variations of ochre, caramel and deep bronze brown running down the stoneware body. The collar is distinguished by a subtle moulded relief of vertical arched forms, creating a restrained geometric rhythm around the upper section. Here, the glaze becomes lighter, revealing soft olive and warm brown nuances.
The unglazed foot reveals the natural stoneware body and carries the Rörstrand hallmark, the AUG model designation and Gunnar Nylund’s monogram.
