A sculptural piece of Swedish art glass designed by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta Glasbruk, Sweden, circa 1960.
Signed Kosta LH 1444, this vintage glass vase features a slender, elongated silhouette with softly rounded contours. Its deep brown inner core, with subtle reddish and purplish undertones, is encased in clear glass, creating a striking contrast between colour and transparency.
The layered glass creates depth and visual richness, allowing light to reveal different tones and reflections across its sculptural form. Its distinctive colour and elegant proportions reflect the material exploration and formal language of mid-century Scandinavian glass design.
