Story

About the Arkipelago Series

The Arkipelago ("Archipelago") series was designed by Timo Sarpaneva in 1979 and entered production in the early 1980s. Characterized by its geometric forms and textured, bubble-filled glass, the series evokes natural Nordic elements—ice, stone, and water—through light and structure.

The triangular candleholders are among the most sought-after pieces from the line, appreciated for their bold sculptural presence and modern elegance. The graduated heights allow for dynamic compositions, creating visual rhythm whether displayed together or separately. When lit, the candles create a mesmerizing interplay of light and shadow, with the bubbles acting as tiny prisms.
